Ukrainian-Russian war entered in the fifth hundred day while the highly acclaimed Ukrainian counteroffensive entered on its first month. These are the gains Ukrainian Army achieved during this period:\n1. Zaporizhia front:\n- Lobkove axis: 10 sq Km\n- Orekhiv axis: 33 sq Km\n2. Donetsk front\n- Velyka Novosilka axis: 145 sq Km\n- Bakhmut front: 24,1 Km\nRegarding the following data the counteroffensive lead to the recapture of 212,1 sq aproximately. A small portion of territory recovered at a high cost to the Ukrainian side. In general terms the offensive didn\'t achieve the initial objective, which was to reach the first defensive line built by the Russians on the southern front, part of the territory taken being the former gray zone separating the front. The most notable success was in the Velyka Novosilka axis where it was possible to reduce the salient & moving the fighting away from the vicinity of this locality, an important objective for Russians in the case of a hypothetical advance towards western Donetsk.

Ukrainian-Russian war. Day 486:\nThere are many "Chair experts" and warmongers who talk about the outbreak of a Russian civil war. The reality is that with the number of available troops of the Wagner PMC it is impossible to sustain a long term conflict. What Prigozhin is looking for is a quick action, to reach Moscow as soon as possible, hence he has left little garrison in the cities that have "occupied" marginally and continues directing the convoys to the north. Otherwise they would have entrenched himself in the regions bordering Ukraine waiting for the desertion of more soldiers, the only factor that could precipitate a conflict of greater intensity, something that has not happened, because as it has been said before the number of military deserters is quite reduced. If Wagner does not reach Moscow in a short time, it has few options left, given his numerical inferiority with respect to the rest of the Russian Armed Forces.

Ukrainian-Russian war. Day 468:\nSituation on Kherson front: The destruction of Nova Kakhovka dam provoked the flooding of all the islets of the Dnieper River in its last sector and several localities on both sides, but essentially on the Russian side, where several fortification lines were located. These facts seem to indicate that the Ukrainian troops could launch an amphibious operation to recover the rest of the oblast from the Russian troops. However, the operation will not be simple given the width of the river and exposure to Russian artillery, which will require a significant logistical effort to create a solid bridgehead. What can be confirmed is that the main objective of the offensive is in the south, so it will require the opening of more than one front to try to break through to Melitopol, hence the role that a front on the Dnieper will play.

Ukrainian-Russian war. Day 467:\nDespite reports about the partial capture of Berkhivka by Ukrainian Army the reality was that attack was repelled and now the town is under full control of Russians. In addition, Ukrainian attacks at Mayorsk, Ugledar and Soledar axis were repelled by Russian forces too. It\'s expected Ukrainian Army will increase the attacks on the eastern front to divert Russian resources while it will use the bulk of the new resources in the southern axis, which Melitopol still being the main objective. On September 2022 we wrote about the southern fronts and the possibilities Ukrainian Army had to advance towards Azov Sea. Now this objective seems to be more difficult following the arrival of Russian mobilized troops and the construction of several trench lines.
